Pratical Skills
In order to finish my Final Major Project (FMP), I chose to represent the negative aspects of social media, the suffering it has caused in recent years, mentally and emotionally. I address self-image, social media users who compare themselves to unhealthy lifestyles online, social media technicalities, the dopamine effect, and algorithms, as well as my own personal experience, with the aim of targeting and educating anyone who uses social media and is self-conscious of their bodies and this will be viewable through three Wix.com blog articles. After that, I developed a digital illustration in Adobe Illustrator, which covers the area of trolling on social media platforms.

I initially used a ‘Wacom graphic tablet’ in order to trace my original image in which I showed inclusive of my outcome development as part of my FMP, I also
used my Graphic Tablet to fill colour into my traced sketch as well as drawing stretch marks to portray authenticity of Demi Lovato and Zendaya Coleman in order to show, no one is perfect. Whilst developing this digital piece, I used my graphic tablet
majority of the time in place of my mouse for convenience. Additionally, I have been using the same graphic tablet, since i had it in order to enhance my digital skills and techniques to become comfortable and confident enough.

I then began Utilising Adobe illustrator to develop my digital outcome using a range of tools, techniques and methods to complete my digital outcome. I have been using Adobe Software ever since I started this course 3 years ago. However, I still require a little more practise using the software as I’m still not as proficient as I would like to be in due course for when I progress to higher education; university or any potential future external independent projects.
I utilized my writing skills to assemble my entire FMP, highlighting my personal experience with self-image, including my issues with the gym, social media,
photoshopping, toxic social media trends, and lastly, where I am now and what actions I've implemented to feel better. The second segment, discusses the negative consequences that harmful beauty standards have on social media users all around the world. The last piece of my essay, in which I discussed social media technicalities, the dopamine impact, and the algorithm behaviour manipulation tool.I then proceeded to use Pinterest in order to compile a list of body positivity messages, which I found to be quite unique. I started my search for a title for my artwork via Pinterest ,I came upon a title that sparked my interest. Following scribbling a few ideas, I came up with "Your body is not flawed, society is!"

To start off my development of the digital outcome, I decided to sketch a rough draft of what I wanted my campaign posted to look like, which is included within my development file, using an outline to portray my aims and desired result, which is simply from creativity within and will be completed via Adobe Illustrator.
